The
purpose of this course is to help students to use and understand
information technology. I hope they would become computer competent
and would be able to understand how technology is being used and
anticipate how technology would be used in the future.

TWO tests. Format is similar with
the final exam paper. Final exam (2 HOURS) consists of THREE
sections:

essay questions on current issues (30 marks)

SSC255 - Office Software Application

Among others, this course is to help students
to become competent in using office software applications plus other
computer-related skills. Office software applications are easy to
understand and familiar notion to many. Specifically, I hope
students would be able to walk into a job and immediately be
valuable to employer.

Students will be assigned to a
project covering aspects of information and office
technologies. This is a group project comprising 3 – 4 students.
Students are required to present and submit a report on findings of
the project.

The common test will be a two-hour
paper covering all topics.
Section A: 30 multiple-choice
questions 30 marks
Section B: 20 True/False
questions 20 marks
Section C: 10 short essay
questions @ 5 marks 50 marks
